Driving Rules and in car protocol

You are responsible for the health and safety of your passengers

Become familiar, immediately, with your surroundings and dash layout.

All students must be seat-belted in before driving.

Dress appropriately.

Bandanas will not be allowed. Hats are fine.

Be aware of traffic patterns around you.

Do not intentionally drive in someone’s blind spot.

Be ready for any emergency. (Leave yourself an out)

Allow for other drivers “attitude” Be aware of other drivers who have been “around the block” and are more experienced than you.

Driving is a serious task-There is no room for mistakes without consequences.

Put yourself in a driving “mode” before driving.

Do not take any medication before driving. If you are on medication, either over the counter or not. Inform Mr. Davis

The car is a classroom, pay attention. Be ready to offer constructive criticisms to the driver.

Do not show any attitude to other drivers who may challenge your driving ability.

CELL PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CLASS AND ARE TO BE TURNED ON WHILE IN THE CAR.

Cell phones are to be placed in the trunk before driving.

Never change lane instructed to do so.

If you have any questions or doubts about your instruction, question Mr. Davis immediately.

Never assume that the fact that you have a student driver’s sign on your vehicle people will allow for your inexperience.

I will not intentionally trick you into doing something.

You are responsible for all traffic rules and regulations.
